The Art club at parkview

80-plus members strong, The Art Club at Parkview is a ragtag collection of visual art students. AC/PV offers a safe space for students of all races, genders, sexual orientations and dispositions to socialize and engage in the visual arts. We only ask that students be kind and respectful and that they believe in themselves.

Arkansas Young Artist Association

Parkview Visual Art is a proud member of the Arkansas Young Artist Association. AYAA is the largest organization of high school visual arts students in the state. Their mission is to "...encourage and support the visual arts across the state of Arkansas to all high school students through professional speakers, competitions, exhibition, and scholarship."

Each year dozens of our students attend AYAA's state convention and competition to exhibit and compete beside AYAA's 1500+ student members.

Community events

Whether drawing in Thea Foundation's annual Thea Paves the Way, creating trophies for event's like Race the Base, judging contests, or volunteering with local organizations, each year our students can be found participating within our community.

Field Trips

Touring university art departments, road tripping to Crystal Bridges, representing Parkview at local and statewide events, and even jetting off to Europe every two years? Sometimes you just need to take a break from the classroom and soak in some new experiences.

Scholarships

Each year our students earn scholarships that provide tuition, books and supplies to colleges and university art programs and institutes.

Senior show

Throughout this site you'll see us referring to ourselves as family, and nowhere is that more evident than during senior show. After four years together, many tears are shed as our seniors attend their next-to-last event: their senior show.

Held each year at a local gallery, the show gives seniors an opportunity to display the fruits of their final year of instruction. Complete with an opening night, it's a time for friends and family to celebrate their love's hard work.
